At our New Westminster clinic, we use digital X-rays for both new and returning patients. The images appear instantly on screen, so your dentist can point out exactly what’s going on — whether it’s a small shadow, a hidden cavity, or a spot worth watching.
Digital X-rays use far less radiation than traditional film, often as much as 70–90% less. The sensors are small and comfortable, and the process takes only a few seconds. There’s no film to develop, and the images are stored securely in your digital record for future comparison.
We take only the X-rays that are needed, based on your age, history, and the condition of your teeth and gums. For many patients, that means once a year; others may need them more or less often.
These images help us catch small issues early, plan treatment accurately, and keep your visits focused on prevention.
